For
15 years the Greater Inwood Partnership has worked to improve an area
[map] whose population is larger than many small
cities. The Greater Inwood Partnership is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization devoted to developing, encouraging, promoting, beautifying, protecting, and unifying the greater Inwood area. The Partnership has been successful in the creation of three new park spaces, the defeat of two proposed 'Hot Sheet' motels, the creation of the Near Northwest Management District and a City of Houston Super Neighborhood Council, the awarding of in excess of $60,000 in education scholarships and the planting of more than 3000 trees and shrubs In addition, other projects in some stage of completion include Hike and Bike trails along White Oak Bayou and esplanades plantings along W. Tidwell Rd. The Greater Inwood Partnership is proud of its record of serving the greater Inwood Community. Did You Know? Since our beginnings the Greater Inwood Partnership has planted over 600 trees, 3000 shrubs, and has landscaped 76 esplanades. |
