The Partnership has been successful in the creation of three new park spaces, the defeat of two proposed 'Hot Sheet' motels, the creation of the Near Northwest Management District, a City of Houston Super Neighborhood Council, the awarding of in excess of $60,000 in education scholarships, the 2.8 mile construction of the White Oak Bayou Trail Extension along the west side of White Oak Bayou from Pinemont Drive to Victory to begin in 2010 and the planting of more than 4000 trees and shrubs... and just recently the approval of the Greater Inwood Area rail quite zone that will extend from Mangum to West Little York.

The Greater Inwood Partnership is supported 100% by our members. We do not have any paid employees or facilities. The money you pay for membership goes directly into the improvement of our great community. Without your membership dues we cannot apply for government and corporate grants to fund our community projects.
For the past 18 years dedicated volunteers have been working together in the Greater Inwood Partnership (GIP) to build a better community [map] whose population is larger than many small cities. The Greater Inwood area is located in near northwest Houston and is comprised of 35 neighborhoods.
The Greater Inwood Partnership is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization devoted to developing, encouraging, promoting, beautifying, protecting, and unifying the greater Inwood area of Houston.
