History

For 14 years the Greater Inwood Partnership has worked to improve an area whose population is larger than many small cities. The focus of the partnership - education, security, business development and area beautification - was decided based on a 1993 area-wide needs assessment survey.

Since then three new park spaces have been created, two 'Hot Sheets' motel projects were defeated, the Near Northwest Management District and a City of Houston Super Neighborhood Council were created, scholarships in excess of $50,000 were awarded and 76 esplanades have been planted.

Projects in some stage of completion include Hike and Bike trails along White Oak Bayou and esplanades plantings along W. Tidwell Rd.

The Greater Inwood Partnership is proud of its record of serving the greater Inwood Community.
