On April 15, 2007 the Greater Inwood Partnership celebrated 15 years of GREATNESS. Ben Wilson of Aldine Independent School District was the Master of Cermonies as several area volunteers were recognized for their contributions. In addition Mayor Bill White and State Representative Sylvester Turner recognized GIP for their 15 years of succcessful projects and committed their support to the future of GIP.

On April 14, 2007 several esplanades along Antoine Drive were dedicated to area volunteers and contributors. Many family members attended to see the cermonies, some of which traveled from as far away as Canada. Trees were dedicated to both individuals and couples by different members of the community as well as friends and family.

The Kim White Memorial Esplanade is one of the most beautiful of the 76 esplanades landscaped and maintained by the Greater Inwood Partnership. This esplande is featured in the framed photograph gifted to Mayor Bill White to represent the 15 years of effort to plant and maintain over 600 trees and 3000 shrubs on 76 esplanades along Antoine Drive.
